Funny Ad….Single Black Female….

Single Black Female :

(This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal.)

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I’m a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I’ll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me… Call (555) 875-6420 and ask for Annie, I’ll be waiting…..

Weather the Storm…

"Just as the tumultuous chaos of a thunderstorm brings a nurturing rain that allows life to flourish, so too in human affairs times of advancement are preceded by times of disorder. Success comes to those who can weather the storm."

Open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow, your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.  (Kahlil Gibran)

Kinship with all life forms….

This has been an extra hard winter for me…..I have many companion animals in my household, and over the past year I have lost 8 of them to old age and infirmity.  I have a unique relationship with all of them, and the losses have taken their toll…..guess I am feeling a little depressed….anxious to start work again at the beginning of March.
The most recent was my beloved cat "Billy", who died the day before Valentine’s day of cancer….he was 19 years old, and has been with me almost that long! I know my beloved animal friends are fine, in a better place, and that they had great lives, but I miss them nonetheless, and the house sure feels empty……
So, I write this blog in loving memory of the animal friends I have lost since last March:
1) Big Gray
2) Nala
3) Cocoa
4) Sissy
5) Grey Goose
6) P.J.
7) Charlie
8) Billy
I will love and remember you forever…..<3<3<3<3<3<3
